A very close game took place in Ljubljana (derby !!!) betweenIlirija and Cedevita Ol. . Fourth ranked Ilirija (4-11) got a very close home victory over leader Cedevita Ol. (11-5). Ilirija managed to escape with a 3-point win 96-93 on Sunday evening. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Ilirija looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Edo Muric (202-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Wendell Green Jr (180-2002, college: Auburn) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Swingman Jaka Blazic (196-1990) produced 22 points and American Matt Hurt (206-2000, college: Duke) added 20 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cedevita Ol.'s coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ilirija moved-up to second place, which they share with Zadar and Vienna. Defending Slovenian champion Cedevita Ol. still keeps top position with five games lost.
